What is Surfluent?
Surfluent is a language learning tool that integrates directly into your web browser. It helps you learn by translating websites you visit and allowing you to look up and save unknown words.
How does it work?
Our browser extension identifies and translates words in the language you're learning as you browse the web. Highlight a translated word to see its definition and save it to your study list. The web app then provides a centralized location to review and manage the vocabulary you've collected.
Which languages are supported?
Currently, Surfluent supports English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese (Mandarin).
What browsers does it work with?
The extension is currently available for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. A Safari version is also in the works.
How do I download the browser extension?
You can easily install the Surfluent extension from the Google Chrome Web Store or the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store. Simply search for "Surfluent" and click "Add to browser."
How do I pin the extension to my browser?
For quick access after installation, click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions) in the top-right corner of your browser. Find "Surfluent" in the list and click the pin icon next to it. The Surfluent icon will then be visible in your toolbar.

Does Surfluent store my browsing data?
Your privacy is a top priority. Surfluent does not save the websites you visit or the content on those pages. The only information we store is the specific words and phrases that you choose to highlight for definitions or your study list.
Is my payment information secure?
All payments for Surfluent are processed through Stripe, a globally recognized and secure payment processor. Surfluent never has access to or stores your full credit card information.
How do I change my subscription?
You can easily manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings page in the web app.
Do I need an account?
Yes. After your free trial, you will need a paid account to utilize Surfluent's features. However, a monthly subscription costs less than a single fast food meal.
